Making your compositions available from Fuzzy Moon Music is a 5-step process (please scroll down as necessary). First, though, please read our Artists' Agreement [in preparation] to ensure that are happy with our charges and the way we propose to make your compositions available.
- Download and save the Fuzzy Moon compositions template. (Don't open it directly from here or you may not be able to save your work). It's an Excel file, with headings for the information we need. If you haven't got Excel, send the information under the following headings:
Title, Description, Instrumentation, Flute doubling and Reed doubling 1,2,3,4,5 (if appropriate), Length (minutes and seconds), Solos, web site for buying CDs - Enter your contact information and the details of your compositions.
- Email the completed Excel file to us at charts@fuzzymoonmusic.com, along with a suitable picture of yourself (in JPG format) and a biography of up to 200 words including review quotes (as a Word file or plain text).
- Send us all the PDF files of your compositions. Each page of your parts and scores should have:
- A page number
- The name of the composition as a header at the top of each page
- The name of the instrument playing the part at the top of each page
- The following text at the bottom of each page:
“Copyright © [year written] [Name of composer]. All rights reserved. Distributed on behalf of [Name of composer] by fuzzymoonmusic.com in accordance with their terms and conditions. For sole use of the purchaser”.
Fuzzy Moon also recommends adding “All performance to be registered with the PRS, ASCAP or other relevant performance rights organization” at the bottom of each page, although this may not be practical depending on the layout of the page, and is in the terms and conditions that the purchaser has to sign up to.
Please name the PDFs using the following convention:
- for the complete score, use the full title of the piece
- for the parts, use the title plus the abbreviated instrument name (eg: Sop, Tpt).
- Click on the 'Sign up' link below to send us the set-up fee of £50 (see Artists' Agreement - abridged version - full version (PDF)).
